You people need to zoom in on the product and see that the title is AUSTRIAN MUSKETEERS and not AMERICAN

    Excellent Historical Mini’s from Zvezda.

You’re looking at 18-19 Pikemen, 3 Command Dudes and about 10-12 Musketeers.

The dudes are 25mm tall (~ 1 inch). The models are very finely detailed, but the plastic is somewhat pliant, making it less than ideal for painting and using in a wargame. Obviously, individual uses may vary, so I’m just commenting on what I was using them for.

Its an excellent “Dudes per dollar” value!

These figures are high quality and highly detailed and for a fairly cheap price you get quite a few models for the price. Poses are nice although the longer weapons are flimsy which is an unfortunate nature of the game. Quite tall for 1/72 models so usable for 28mm games like warhammer or d&d although they do look quite slender next to 28mm miniatures. Some of the poses are interchangeable as well so you can have helmeted musketeers and feather hatted pikemen.

I purchased four boxes last year for half again as much. These are clean and well detailed molds. They are much better than the other plastic 1/72 soldier sets available for the 30 years war. The only company doing it better is the Warlord Games Pike & Shotte series. However they are considerably larger (28mm compared to 25mm) and more expensive. I only wish there were more Zvesda sets available for this period, especially cavalry and artillery. These sets are NOT TOYS for kids. They are for adults who paint them up and play miniature wargames.

as is too common with Zvedza products the aligning pins and holes don’t match up. If your modeling skills are ok this is more of an inconvenience than a show stopper. if you want less trouble try airfix or Italiari for less parts also.
