This thing is big and is super sturdy. Ill be using it as a decor piece. The details are great. It wasn’t hard to put together a bit time consuming but a few hours is worth it for how cool it is when its done!

Have always been interested in sailing ships. It was a lot of fun building this. Wish I could get on it and sail somewhere!

Everything is correctly cut and fits tightly. The ship/puzzle is sort of tricky in that the pieces are not grouped together in the order they will be assembled. Instead, they are scattered over the four separate rectangular boards and are not labeled on the boards. You must use the included guide (see photo) to find on which of the four boards the needed piece is located. They aren’t that hard to find, but it is somewhat different from other puzzles.

A couple of warnings. First, do not punch out all the pieces before they are needed. If the pieces are all loose, it will be very hard to find the right ones. You can do it, but it is much easier when you can use the guide sheet to locate them on the punch-out boards. Second, small U-shaped pieces are clips used to hold other parts together. Some of them can be hard to push all the way to stop. I found it helpful to have a needle-nose pliers handy when needed to make sure the clip pieces seated all the way.

Why four stars instead of five? From my photos, it can be seen that the backs of pieces are not painted. Similarly, the sails are printed only on the front. Had I thought of it in time, I would have spray-painted the back of the boards black. That would have made the finished ship look good from all angles. In the photos, you can see the difference in the view of the ship from different angles. The manufacturer could quite easily fix this by painting the back side.

It was a fun puzzle to put together, ending up with a nice piece to display.

This is a great gift idea to keep a kid busy. It’s a unique puzzle and looks great once everything is assembled. It’s a tad challenging at times so it’s not really for younger children and my daughter who is almost 12 definitely needed some help with it, but she did have fun with it. It looks really neat in the end and it’s fairly large size. If your child is up for a challenge and enjoys putting things together, this is a great option.

Very cool wooden model of a pirate ship. The build was challenging but not overbearing. The end result makes a great presentation, though obviously individual tastes vary. At around $22, it’s priced appropriately. highly recommended.. makes a great gift!

There are I instructions with letters and numbers to put the pieces together. Except the pieces are not labeled at all. There are like 4 different piece sheets and none of the pieces a on each sheet are labeled just the sheet itself has two numbers on the top. No letters no nothing to match the instructions. Very similar pieces but in different sizes. Very hard to figure out .
