This set had everything I needed in one convenient place. I’m sure that given enough time, I could have scrounged up the right tools, but with this kit, I had all the cutting, filing and repair tools at my fingertips. It’s good for plastic and metal models with the wire cutters included. I especially like the tweezers that came with the set to make attaching intricate details much easier than with my carrot fingers. I definitely recommend this set.

I looked at separates and they price much higher than this cohesive package. There are essential tools, down to cutters that take plastic stubs off of 28 mm parts without damaging the piece. They even cut through thin metal, aluminum, and varied meshes with ease.
The knives and tweezers work well when used correctly. The extra blades are a nice feature as well. There are mini-files that really help to shape hard-to-reach areas where sandpaper and Emory boards can’t reach. They’re great for finer details and weathering effects.
Due to the low price the tools come without a card – a couple of items were new to me. The cheap plastic case is difficult to close once opened and cracks. Replace it with a pencil case or a repurposed makeup bag. It’s a minor quibble and an easy fix for a set that can sell for exponentially higher prices. If you’re a high-end modeler (Revell, Warhammer rabbit hole) you may find benefit to using this as a replacement set for worn-out items.
