This is a great kit! Goes together very easily, exceptional fit. Just be careful to plan ahead. If you want to use the ordnance you have to open the holes in the wings and fuselage. You also have to open the holes in the tail for the ventral fins and afterburner scoops. Also, the kit is designed for the wing to be in the raised position, so if you want to build the wing down you have to omit some parts and carefully fit the wing to the fuselage, but it’s an easy task.

Academy is getting up to being on par in quality with Tamiya. Very impressive kit (and I think the F-8 is one of the coolest looking airplanes out there). Minimal flash and molding seams to take care of. I would recommend the Eduard photo-etch set for this kit as well if you’re up for the task (can usually find it on ebay).

bellissimo kit, il migliore F8 in questa scala, non so se c’è qualche errore tipo la posizione del tubo di pitot sbagliata, oppure lo sportellino dei fusibili 10cm più avanti, o le gomne 0.2mm più grandi…ma diciamo la verità..machissenefrega..il kit è stupendo

It is so good and fun to build. all the part (except 1 part) are accurate, and the decals are so good. I loved it, so I ordered it once again, because I wanted to build different version as well.
