    Easy assemble

It feels like AMT just rushed making this model, made the most simple instructions and threw it in a box. No actual pictures of it built on the side of the box like most have, no paint colors on the instructions, nothing. I mean, I paint my own way anyway, but the instructions are not good. And as you can see in the pictures, the hood doesn’t even fit correctly. It won’t close. The rear bumper doesn’t fit well without using too much glue. I’ve built a lot of models, and this one was not my favorite. It turned out OK (except for the hood issue, which I will file down and fix at some point) but just be aware that it might not be what you expect when you order.

Not interested in the fire stuff, but is difficult to find an Impala model of that year.

I made this model in 1972. I was a Junior Firefighter then. Yes I was riding the ambulance and crawling into burning houses when I was 15. Back then, our Battalion Chief’s drove this car. The model is still at Hampton (Virginia) Fire Station #1 – 1922. I retired as Volunteer Chief of that Volunteer Fire Company i our combination department. My ancestors started the fire department 1884. Models cost too much these days.

Definitely a good kit to build or collect. And I’ve had most of them.. 💯💯💯
