    The model is simple to put together and looks good painted. The finished model appears to be quite near to the cover, as seen in the photo.

    説明書が信用できない商品だった。
    パーツ番号6の取り付け指示が漏れている。
    白線デカールが1本1本別々になっており、ただでさえ直線を出すのに神経をつかうのに
    位置決めのための指示図がいい加減で鵜呑みにすると3本線が壮大にずれてしまい全く参考にならなかった。
    発売して数年経っているんだから訂正ぐらいしてくれ。

    It arrived –all the way from Japan– before the announced arrival date. The product was cocooned in layers of paper and bubble wrap and was pristine. The assembly directions are clear and easy to follow, At this scale painting and assembly will be tricky, but fun. I am looking forward to the finished model,

    ミッドウェイ海戦で４隻の空母の中で最後まで孤軍奮闘した空母・飛龍のキットです。当該海戦時の様子が再現されています。
    製品が届いて、箱の中を開けてみましたが、まず部品数の少なさに驚きました。リニューアルされた青島社の空母雲龍型３隻（雲龍・天城・葛城）と比較するとずいぶん部品数が少ないです。容易に完成できるという点で優れているということでしょうか。
    船体は雲龍型３隻が左右分割式・船底別パーツであるのに対し、この飛龍ではウオーターラインシリーズには珍しく船体と船底（喫水板）が一体成形となっており（但し、バラストは付属しています）、いかに部品点数を抑えているかが伺えます。
    キットにはWLの大型艦兵装セットのランナーが２枚付属しており、組み立て説明書を見るとこのランナーからカッターや火器類を取り付けるようになっています。艦載機は彗星を含めた日本艦載機・前期型のランナーが一枚付属していますが、この艦載機の日の丸デカールは大型艦兵装セット付属のものを使うようです。飛行甲板上の大きな日の丸のマークや甲板上の白色表示線、識別マーク（白線のみ）がデカールで付属しています。
