Very good quality of the wood, I immediately smelled the oak or pine or whatever it is. I was a bit overwhelmed at first but the instructions were very easy to understand.

This is my second book nook kit. I like the design of this one a lot. It was easier to assemble compared to the first one I did and took less time (about 2.5 hours; the first took me about 3.5). The design and instructions are straightforward and easy to follow. Because it’s pretty straightforward, I could see this puzzle being accessible to older kids/teens too. My one bit of advice is to be aware that some of the small pieces like the rabbits and grass tufts have sharper edges; my fingers were a little sore after assembling everything but nothing to be concerned about. Maybe take more breaks than I did if it bothers you. This is a fun project with a great looking result and this company’s customer service is nothing short of stellar. Highly recommended!

Of the 3 book nook style kits I got this one was most interesting to look at. The battery’s are accessible if you need to replace them and the sensor was a great surprise. 10/10 I’d get this as a gift. Instructions are a little small but easy to follow even without words. The pieces have some Chinese for the most part you don’t need it.

First time trying the book nook DIY and it was so fun to assemble and it took only a day to complete, though I could probably have finished in a few hours if I had the time. High quality pieces that fit perfectly together. Have purchased a second one already!
