   This kit does have everything you need except motors, chute wadding, and glue to build and launch the rocket. The kit builds easy and is pre-colored, so no painting. The launch pad could be better designed though. It comes with a good launch controller, but the pad itself needs improvement. The blast plate is aluminum, and quickly gets a blistered deformation from the rocket exhaust, and the 2 piece launch rod didn’t assemble well, and I quickly discarded it for a single 1/8 inch one piece rod I bought at a hardware store.

   I cant her my launcher to work. Tried over and over. It blinks red but wont ignite. Any suggestions

   I got this set just for the Rocket, It is easy to build and awesome looking. I hope Estes gets the idea to just get the Rocket and sell it alone. But I needed a new rocket set anyways, everything but launching gear(wading, rocket engines, batteries), tool’s to work with and glue. An awesome starter set. Thank you…..

   Love this rocket. Easy to assemble and sturdy. The grandsons love it.
