Looks like a great quality model and very detailed – with one very big problem. My kit has all the small assembly parts for the Fuso but included the HULL and DECK for Fujimi’s model of the Yamishiro. I know they’re the same class of ship, but there are significant differences in the molding between the two kits. Unfortunately I didn’t discover their error till well after the allowable return date.
I’m having to scratch build the number two turret base and some gun placement guards, and will have to remove lots of molded deck fittings to put some of the superstructure in place. That’s just what I see so far. I’ve scratch built whole ships, some of my best and favorite work, but wasn’t expecting to get into that for a $220.00 kit.
