Do not purcase this. It did not fit properly. I have been putting models together for 50 years, and it is terrible.

The spitfire is a small plane when reduced to 1/144 scale but some pieces are just too small. I’m not sure whether it was necessary for the molding process but having a two piece tail wing was very messy. It was difficult making sure both parts stayed in line. Even the single piece main wing fitted awkwardly and I had to trim some elements. Fitting it on also caused the fuselage to start splitting. Despite my best efforts, front and back wings are now at different angles. For the price I would’ve expected a stand too. Note, the spitfire is in the same light gray colour as the German JU88. I’m grateful that this company produced a 1/144 spitfire but it needs to be better (simpler/sturdier as it’s most likely to be used for war-gaming anyway) to justify the price.

It’s OK given the price, I was able to get it for $7 on sale. The parts don’t fit very well and I had to use putty in one spot. Once painted not bad, I had fun making it in about an hour.
