以前にも同じキットを購入しましたが、サスペンションの向きを間違え完成不可能になってしまった個人的にリベンジの意味をこめて再度購入。
問題のサスペンションの向きに気をつけて（そもそも説明書をよく読んでいれば間違える場所ではないが・・・）、その先で頭を悩ませたのは側面後部についた燃料タンクの取り付ける角度程度で、それ以外は相変わらずのタミヤでサクサク組めます。
接着剤の乾燥を待ちながらのんびり組んでも週末の土日で完成までいけました。
パーツ色自体はそのままでもいいでしょうが、正面の楔形装甲の上に取り付ける予備履帯だけは塗装をした方が最低限の格好はつくでしょう。
出来上がりはやはりタミヤで安定したクオリティを保っています。
一部履帯の裏から穴が開いてるのが気になりますが、それ以外は概ね非常に良くできており、値段を考慮すれば出来栄え、パーツ構成、組みやすさなどからコストパフォーマンスではかなり優秀なキットでしょう。

A good quality kit with very convincing exterior details. Beware that the sponsons are open so you will need to fill them should that trouble you as it did me. I also replaced the tracks and the barrel (not really necessary) with metal aftermarket items.
A great beginning for a super detailed build. However, the small parts count makes it perfect for the novice modeler.

ガンプラなどは経験があり組み立ては苦労しないと思って買いました。想像していなかったのが、すべて接着剤が必要という点。はめるだけで固定できるところがないのは驚きでした。雰囲気を楽しむだけでディテールはこだわらないと割り切れば難しくなく楽しめました。完璧に作れるひとはすごいなぁ、と思ったしだいです。

モデル部品は比較的少なく、設計図に間違いはない。タミヤのかなりの戦車は上部構造と駆動部構造に接着に問題があり、このモデルにその問題はない。一部余剰部品はあるものの良心的である。しかし駆動キャタピラ―が1cm ほど短い。実物にみられるたるみどころではない。なおJS3 の特徴である低車高 (2.45m)、砲塔の扁平さ、傾斜装甲が本モデルでは良く再現できている。JS3はベルリン攻略に間に合わず戦後の各地紛争に活躍。1945.9.7のベルリンでの戦勝パレードで52輌が参加して巨大な122mm主砲と重厚さに連合軍は驚き以後対策にのりだした。このJS3は現在の各国戦車のモデルとなった。JS3 の前部装甲は画期的な110mm, 側面は90mm, 後部60mm. 速度は40km/h, 乗員4名。1945には1711輌が製造され、当時では世界最強でソ連のベルリン封鎖を許した一因でもある。戦績としては、日ソ不可侵条約を破り満州侵略では重戦車連隊が吉林省を経て大連に侵攻した記録がある。JS3の侵攻は19５6にハンガリー、1966のチェコ、プラハの春の撲滅、1967にはエジプトーイスラエル戦、1969の中ソ国境紛争に地に埋めて使用。領土拡張性のソ連を象徴する戦車である。

This JS3 was made well, overall I give it a fabulous rating. Turret even comes with its own cast steel texture.
One problem is the barrel, it was two pieces and could barel move. That was a disappointment, Tamiya needs to provide one–piece barrels
