Aun no lo he montado, pero he visto el contenido y me parece de calidad. Buena relación calidad precio. Hecho de menos una foro en color como referencia de pintura. Otros modelos la llevan

Really happy with it and it’s good quality. The item was delivered a couple of days late, however it wasn’t the sellers fault and was quick update me on why it was late and when it would arrive. Really happy!

An old Tamiya model that needs some time and effort, but can build into an excellent model of this huge battleship, makes me feel 12 again.

This Tamiya model for me was a step bellow other Tamiya kits I have built. It was made to be motorized as such the hull is one piece and the deck plates are made to be removable. This makes for a poor fit and is harder to work with. It would have been nice to know up front that this kit was made to be motorized. The price being half of what other Musashi kits does help and she still is one impressive ship.

Excellent service and an outstanding model kit.
    Thank you

First of all this model is great overall, all the parts are very high quality. It has a one piece hull and 2 piece main deck as well as the mounting points inside hull for making it RC. (While is it meant to be motorized, hence why the rear deck is designed as it is, It is just as good as a shelf model if permanently attached) For me just getting the hull/deck together was the most time consuming because of the sheer size but the pieces fit almost perfectly. So far it has been a joy to put together, and once it is done I will post a completed picture.

    other products you will want for this model;
wood deck; https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GRTNYGY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (photo does not do it justice, it looks so much better in person as you will see if you get it)
Tamiya ts66 IJN Kure arsenal spray paint x4; https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B001Q0Z44A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Tamiya ts-33 Dull red spray paint x1 or 2; https://smile.amazon.com/Tamiya-TS-33-Dull-Spray-Lacquer/dp/B000BN7DL0/ref=pd_bxgy_21_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B000BN7DL0&pd_rd_r=PJ0QYKBA10A4SW3Y10C1&pd_rd_w=leSNh&pd_rd_wg=ycLlR&psc=1&refRID=PJ0QYKBA10A4SW3Y10C1
Because of the one piece hull and 2 piece main deck you will need a small amount of putty to fill in those almost hairline seams around the edge and the crevice where to two deck parts meet; Tamiya also makes the putty
Due to the curvature of the hull, i recommend getting a .75inch painters tape for the best results on the water line, and a 2in wide to cover the rest of the hull. (the order i used was full coat of gray on hull, then tape uper portion for a double coat on bottom, then tape bottom and another coat of gray.)
As well as all the other modeling essentials (side cutters, modeling knife, glue, et cetera) you will also need a way to drill a couple holes to the size directed in instructions, i recommend a good pin vise not a power drill…

Muy bien fabricado, cero problemas con los moldes. Instrucciones claras, soporte en línea. Mucho entretenimiento.

  8. Nicole Amos

Beautiful model of a lesser known battleship. Very expensive but probably worth it for the true collector.

  9. One Opinion

    Good item.

  10. William W Gauthier

Made it from Japan to my door with AMAZING speed!! Now this is a Tamiya model so I have high expectations. Not at all disappointed! A tiny bit more flashing than I’ve seen before from the company but realistically this is a model of one of the two largest battleships ever. The molds may have a bit of tolerance due. Nothing any modeler allowed to hold a hobby knife can’t handle. This is NOT a beginner model. It even has the battery box and motor mount to make an R/C ( no motor, wires, or gearbox) the details are great and there’s a lot of them. If there is anything that is a complaint it’s drilling out the rudder holes but this is in case you do make an R/C they provide a sturdier rudder with slightly different placement. All things considered…. beyond worth it!!!!

this might be old school with no metal parts but I prefer that as I have problems with my grip loved making this model and would recommend it to anyone with a good skill of model making
