This kit is showing it’s age a little bit. If you can get it at a reasonable price it is well worth it though. Usual high standards from Tamiya and should be a fairly intensive build.

I have been waiting to get this kit since it was released. The price was well below what it was before. It came sooner than expected. The box arrived in perfect condition. It was wrapped very neatly and it was perfect. As one would expect with Tamiya quality the kit goes together near perfect. I am the imperfection. Found very little flash if any on most parts. I built the other version and it was good last year. I highly recommend this kit.

After assembling Tamiya’s 1/32 P-51D kit – and being totally boggled by the quality and the detail, I purchased this model of the Mitsubishi Zero. I haven’t built it yet, but I have reviewed the contents, and this one is even more amazing than the Mustang.
I’ve been building Tamiya models – off and on – for nearly 40 years now, and they never let you down with their quality or detail. I won’t say this is the easiest model to assemble – there are lots of parts and some are quite small, but I know I’m always impressed with the results.

This is an excellent kit. I’ve been eyeballing it for years, but didn’t want to pay 130+ for one. For $64 shipped you cannot find a better deal. Takes several weeks to arrive, but why pay twice the price to get it faster?
Anyone familiar with tamiya’s newer line of 1/32 kits knows that this is top of the line. I believe this is one of the earliest tooled of their next-gen 1/32 kits (~2000), with new parts for this variant. But the detail is still amazing and on-par with their newer stuff.
Full engine and cockpit detail, rubber tires, and photo-etch included. Full color painting guide. The instruction book is massive and includes different build options (wing-tips folded etc.).

I have built models for 40+ years and this is one of the best, if not the best, model I have build. The detail is phenomenal, the fit is the best I have seen and the “extras” that come with the kit are fantastic. Just build it straight out of the box. It comes with all you need.
