Vallejo have perfectly curated a set of paints here for creating layers of oxidation on models. Even just using one or two of these colors will create believable weathering, but the more you add the better it looks. It’s a set that is worth every penny and gives you your money’s worth many times over. The only drawbacks are that it doesn’t come with chipping medium, which is pretty vital to the process. If you’re a first-timer like I was, there is no indication that you’ll need to buy this vital product separately until you’ve read the instructions in the box. Speaking of, the instruction sheet by “Scratchmod,” whoever that is, explains the process well enough and will make you more than competent in creating rust effects. But the instructions aren’t very clear at first. I took to YouTube to get the hang of how the paints are to be used. After that I was able to use the instruction sheet to keep the order in which the colors are applied straight in my mind.
Don’t let any of that stop you from getting these paints, though. Once you master the relatively small learning curve you’ll be able to make any miniature look as battered and battle-worn as you please.

Following the instructions included you can make great rust and streaking effects. One thing I found. Less is more sometimes.

Doing a Nerf pulse rifle repaint, all the colors ar great for washes, or rust effects.
Gotta buy this one for any model so cool.

Product arrived with bottles halfway leaked out. All of the caps were loose

I bought dirty down rust months ago, but found it’s way to inconsistent to use. I bought this set for like $16, the paint alone is well worth more then $2 a bottle. I highly recommend this product.
