I really enjoyed putting this Titanic model together. It may have taken me longer than it took some others–33 days, averaging 3 hours/day–but I like how it turned out. I would only give the instructions a “B” – some steps required quite a bit of thinking to figure out–but on the whole, they serve their purpose for multi-lingual consumers. You’ll probably want to use cyanoacrylate (super glue) from the very first day instead of Testor’s glue–many steps require that the glue from the previous step hardens before proceeding to the next. Very fine-point paint brushes are also a necessity. I am grateful to previous reviewers here for recommending this model over the Minicraft version. I think you’ll enjoy this model.

     Superb kit
Very detailed and requires a lot of skill especially the small vents and rope rigging.

The best thing about this kit is that it can be lighted!! I chose not to do it but if you drill the proper holes this model is sturdy enough to be lit well.

It is a good size weight when build and requires no paint and only glue.

I use crazy glue and that helped speed up the process.

Some parts needed to be shaved off with xacto knife but thats normal.

This is an ultimate version, affordable and fulfills your inner titanic craving lol.

Overall the model is a great size and it gets the job done, but there’s still some disappointing aspects:

-It being multi-colored was supposed to be a major advantage, as it would minimize painting, something at which I’m not great. But I found that the many of the parts either had terrible coloring or needed to be painted anyway. For instance, the keel/lower anti-fouling paint is almost *brown,* rather than the rich red it should be. Plus the two propeller wing pieces are *black,* so repainting the lower hull had to be done no matter what. And the funnels are an atrocious bright orange/yellow color that required painting to achieve something at least moderately close to actual White Star Buff.

-Despite being larger than most kits and more accurate overall, it rather inexcusably completely lacks Collapsibles C and D. They’re just not part of the model design.

-The instructions are obviously translated from what I will assume was Chinese, and in some places are somewhat inscrutable and require looking up assistance in online forums.

It’s a nice model overall, and not too expensive.

Everything was good with all parts there and directions pretty simple and model parts already painted to the manufacturer of the actual model details like as it moved off the ensemble line.

I got this about a month ago and upon opening I noticed the box had previously been opened, main pieces had been bent and in some places broken off (nothing a little super glue can’t fix) but yeah that was kind of annoying. Over all this model has been fun to do, a little hard to understand as far as the string part but you figure it out. I only got 2 pictures because I forgot to take some before I fixed them

Bought this hoping I’d knock it out in a few weeks, and finally finished it about 2 and a half months later. There were a few frustrating moments, but they were all my fault as an inexperienced model builder. (Fist model ship I’ve ever built.) I ended up ordering the model 3 times to account for pieces I lost, and then to get the decals on correctly. This seller had each model on my doorstep in no time, and in perfect condition each time. HIGHLY recommended for those interested in the subject matter. Also, no, that isn’t the rigging line that ships with the model. I bought that rigging line from someone else, because the one that ships with it, while it looks okay, I think is to thick, and is to noticeable on the final build. When you see images of the real ship, or even in the film, the rigging is something you notice as a secondary thing, and that’s how I wanted mine to appear, so the line I used is much thinner than the one with the kit. That made it harder to build, but was worth the effort.

This model is very detailed and accurate.
many of the parts are already set in color making painting optional. I enjoyed putting it together and this will be my 3rd purchase as my family has ask for this model to add to their own collection. Note that there are many small parts that for persons of my age will require special attention.

excellent model. Patients needed but you won’t regret it.
