    Accurate model and all the pieces fit together. But note the scale – it is small and so putting on some of the pieces such as the anti-aircraft guns takes a steady hand and good eyes. Probably not a good choice for youngster to try on their own, but grandson likes it even with the tiny pieces left off

    This model was the only thing on my 10 yr old’s birthday wish list. He is working on it with my husband. I estimate that they have spent 12-15 hours on it and are 90% done.

    My 10 year old’s review: “I think it’s absolutely amazing! It is so detailed!”

    My husband’s review: “Yeah, this isn’t really the best pick for a beginner… It’s super detailed!”

    So if you are just starting out making models (like my 10 yr old), if it’s been 20 years since you’ve made a model (like my hubs) or if you don’t have a set space & need to work on it at wobbly kitchen table, then I would suggest checking out some other options. However, the excitement over how it’s all coming together is palpable! This will be a (mostly) delightful challenge.

    Accuracy- I’m told that “2 Chicago pianos” are supposed to be in the back, but this model has them on the sides, near the captain’s deck. Otherwise it seems accurate.
