    Love it

Not hard to assemble but there are pieces so tiny that I don’t see the point of even having them in the kit. (I’m talking dozens of pieces) You will need micro tweezers and magnifying glasses to assemble. If you happen to lose one of the microscopic pieces don’t plan on finding them. Most are smaller than a pinhead. They could have easily molded the smaller piece onto the others that they go on.

    Good

I am not very pleased with this model and the approach taken by the manufacturer. There are several issues. First, the instructions are not clear or well done. It is often hard to figure exactly where things go on the mode since the pictures are not clear or precise. Indeed, they are almost sketches and do not show enough detail to understand where many parts go. Moreover, there is usually only a single view of a region of the model and so one does not get alternate views to see if complex parts are placed correctly.

Second, the places to put pieces, and the “supports” for them (holes, brackets) are not clear or well thought out.

Third, there is little information as to what symbols in the instructions mean – while one can figure these out, one has to go through the instructions carefully to figure these out.

Finally, there are an extraordinary number of very tiny parts that are hard to manipulate even with tweezers. Indeed, in several cases I just did not bother using some of the parts.

I am doing this model after doing several made by Tamiya. The contrast in quality of instructions, precision of parts, and clarity of where to place structures, is striking. From my perspective, Tamiya models are far better designed than this. Indeed, my next model(s) will be Tamiya and not Academy and I do not plan on purchasing any Academy models in the future.

    Easy to assemble. Yg

If you order this model, make sure you have small fingers or tweezers. Some parts are so small that they should have been one part. Some pieces are so small they are even hard to see, and then easily break when separating them to be assembled. Very difficult, a magnifying glass would be handy too. Be patient with this one.

This model is not for amateurs but, if you truly injoy a challenge. This is one I would highly recommend. The detail on this ship is remarkable and I plan on ordering more from this company.

Good price for its size; however, some parts are so tiny and thin that is not worth it to assemble them eve with help of tweezer (the specific parts).
Some pictures in instruction not shown accurately.
    Bottomline, 3 stars
