Well, the hull doesn’t match up well in the bow area. They made the box too thin so they had to clip the hull halves from the sprue to make it fit. They didn’t clip it well, so there’s a lot of repair work to do before you can even think of starting it. Too much for it’s size almost. And there’s bits of the hull missing, a testament to the poor quality of the mold that made it. I’m disappointed and I’ve barely begun to piece this together.
Not great value for what I paid. Next time go for a more expensive set.

Moulding very bad , Hull pieces warped an bow areas big gaps. Had to fill in and sand. Hull sides did ni line up.

Very poor quality mouldings, flash interfering with shape of parts making features difficult to distinguish.

Not impressed there were parts missing and the main body of the ship was warped and out of shape and a lot of the parts needed to be trimmed down to fit

The 2 airfix models I got (Hood and Bismark) were in excellent condition! The sprues were relatively cleanly cut compared to other competitor models. It had good details on the hull. Overall it was a great build for the price.

I had made this model when I was a teenager 40 years ago and it was nice to make it again but compared to some of the other Airfix kits I have made the quality of the molding was not quite as good and required more work to make it look really professional. That said it turned out OK and I still think it was worth buying

Had to use putty as the fit wasn’t great but that added to the fun of the build. Small parts where if this was a little bigger it would have been a lot more fun. Overall was happy and would recommend

Don’t get me wrong, this is a great kit, but you need to temper your expectations that everything will go the way it is supposed to. There was so much flash on this kit, I think i spent more time removing it than actually building. One of the small turrets was molded without a barrel, the main mast was severely warped, and getting the thin pieces off of the sprue was an exercise in irritation. That being said, if you take the time to build it correctly, it turns out very nice.
