I used this putty to fix a broken Christmas ornament. Dries very solid and is sand able. Filled in the gaps between broken pieces. Let dry for 24 hours, sand then paint. My project turned out very well and saved a vintage ornament from the trash can!

Modeling putty’s are too expensive.
I did get what I paid for, granted.
But after emptying this tube on only 2 kits, I realized the ridiculousness of the expense versus using something like Durham’s Water Putty or another air dry putty not marketed towards modelers.
This was a one time purchase.

I was hoping it would replace my Tamiya white putty. Tamiya is great but has a strong smell. Although it does a decent job of filling gaps it’s not great when being sanded. I found that it just doesn’t stick to the models like Tamiya. So when I sand it, it will occasionally just fall off in small chucks. Even when I’ve cleaned the area, the results are the same. It is better than Vallejo putty though. Although it won’t be replacing my Tamiya putty, it will replace the Vallejo putty.

This product has a good chance of becoming as popular as the ‘old timey’ puttys. It has its place as a very useful tool. I am currently using it on a Revell AC Cobra and have used quite a lot of it (I am modifying the kit) and it works really well when used with water to smooth it. I have a finish as smooth as the original plastic and it is not all from sanding. If I need more I won’t hesitate to get some.
