If your building the stock version, shouldn’t have any problems. This kit has the old 4 screws to hold it together. A hole through the engine for the metal axle. All chassis detail is molded in. Custom version will need some work to make the roll pans look good. May need some putty. The race version on the side of the box is what sucked me in. Imagined it as a Bonneville racer. The dual blower setup for the race version is a joke. Good luck trying to get the blower belt to line up with superchargers. The manifolds won’t work the way the directions show them. There is a big void under the blowers when I finally got things to line up. Cut down the stock intake and slid it in to fill the gap. Test fit everything on this engine if you try and use it. Might want to use an intake system from another kit? Fun trying to get the tonneau for the race version to fit flush too. See my pix. Called it good enough. Took a lot more work than it should have. Stock or custom versions will go together best. Happy modeling!

This is a perfect time capsule kit. It was painstakingly retooled to original 1964 version. The quality should satisfy any actual builder. I have almost 5 decades experience and its taught me to appreciate a fun build over number of parts and such. This kit can be built by a novice and yield a great result. It has the metal axles and screw together chassis to body design that allows kids to actually play with it once finished. The subject matter 1964 Oldsmobile F85 Cutlass is a “year one” GM muscle car. The 330 c.i. engine was a great performer. It is a great companion piece to the 65 GTO and 65 ElCamino or Malibu Surf Wagon to highlight the freshman class of GM performers. I cant stress enough the ease of build and quality of fit. The options allow many variations to make yours one of a kind. No “fantasy” parts. Everything here is period correct and based on actual speed equipment. I hope the kit stays affordable. I wish every young person had this to start with. It is that good. So buy it. I’ll post my pics once details are done. Please post yours as well. Older fans with future car nuts, buy one and build with them. Share your stories. That’s what I did with my niece and friends. Round2 has given us another one that can open up our hobby to a new generation. Kudos to them for this awesome offering!
