I bought this Phantom almost immediately after I laid my eyes on the Corgi Lightning that was delivered. As soon as I see the quality of the Lightning, I just knew I’d have to have another Corgi plane! They may be expensive, but if I were to spend the same amount of money on a plastic kit and all the paints and airbrushing tools to try and get it looking as good as these, I’d never in a million years achieve the same quality. Also, contrary to what I’ve read on here a few times, the display stands are just fine for these model aircraft, if they’re displayed on a shelf or in a unit, there’s no reason for them not to be. If you’re a plane enthusiast, then these models are for you. And yes, I did buy some lights for the shelf to make them look like landing lights. 😂 🤦🏼‍♂️

    Just awesome.

  3. Tom Heath

Very disappointed. The package was split and the card to show the plane was authorized was missing. So can’t prove the serial number. Av spent a small fortune on corgi aircraft models and now will have to go to another maker

The diecast is excellent, I would give it five stars ,if it wasn’t for the stupid inadequate stand supplied. This lump of metal is heavy. A very accurate, detailed lump but I dare not contemplate displaying it in flight mode as the stand is more appropriate to a 1/72 model than this 1/48 model at twice the weight.
The stands supplied with TSR2 and the 1/32 Mosquitos would be better.
But Corgi have messed up with stands in past, the early Lightning stands were ok, but more recent ones are fragile and unusable.

Very good detail – especially the cockpit with the 2 crew men in it.
