    The SR-71 Blackbird is one of my favorite jets, and this one looked really good. I have been wanting an SR-71 for a while, and have looked at many of them. This one is very sturdy, and I would consider it one of the best models out there. It was a little hard to get on the stand, but I managed. I love how it doesn’t have it’s landing gear deployed. Daron Postage stamp airplanes is an awesome company that makes awesome and sturdy airplanes. I would highly recommend them. Very good model aircraft for $20.00.

    The model itself is well made and has nice physical detail. As with other planes in this series (of which I have a few), the size is perfect to display on your desk or a shelf. HOWEVER, it is disappointing that it was painted gloss black rather than matte since the real thing is matte. The red pinstripes and tail art are correct. While the “US AIR FORCE”, “USAF”, and Star-and-bars appear in some photos of these planes, I think it would have been better for them to have left the model unmarked as the plane surely would have been unmarked while in clandestine service.

    I have two planes from this company, Daron, the stands don’t fit and I have to files the holes on the bottom to make them bigger, on one I filed too much and had to glue it to the plane.

    Part of the stand is missing (you can see where it should be in the top left spot) which is really inconvenient because it is a display item.

    Bien en general, muy detallado, pongo 4 estrellas porque queda un poco flojo de la base tendiendo a inclinarse y porque trae un sobrante de plástico en el cristal de la cabina.

    Wish I would have known it was so small. That’s probably why they say postage stamp series. Still, great for my desk.
