   I’ve actually bought two of these kits. The first one I intended to learn on as I’m just getting back into modeling after decades of being out of it. The second model came to me with two of the propeller’s blades broken right on the sprue. That is very frustrating as the second model is what I intended to present to my best friend as a finished gift. He served aboard another Ohio-class boomer – Tennessee. Unfortunately, by the time that I found the broken blades I’d already started assembly and cannot return it. As the package came WITHOUT a cellophane wrapper, I believe this kit to be a return. I’m NOT happy!

   I expected more: very small parts to be glued together while they could have been moulded in one piece instead, like aerials, propeller and rudders. Probably the engineers have to improve their model design approach.

   Final product looks good. Stock color makes painting somewhat hard; make sure you get a nice even coating of the grey parts, or you could End up with some blank spots. Overall, an easy build and great for first- time builders.

   Nice model with very nice surface details. Pieces fit nicely with little modeling putty around the hull seam.
