This was my first Lego set and being an F1 fan I had to have it. I would have given it five stars had it not been for a few missing pieces and some confusion in the instructions. It’s not that hard to build but a few areas in the instructions are not exactly clear.
The end product is much bigger than I expected and looks really neat. It doesn’t look all that similar to the 2022 car but more like a mashup of the 2022 and 2021 cars. I love the fact there are moving parts in the gearbox and engine. I do find it strange the engine doesn’t have cylinder heads leaving the pistons exposed. The steering even works but the wheel is off center which others have complained about. It’s too bad they went with rain tires over slicks and the tires could be wider to look more authentic.
Overall I had a great time building this kit and would definitely recommend it. Lego will send you missing pieces free of charge and I am still waiting on the three I am missing.

Bought this as a gift for a friend who is a big F1 fan. He absolutely loved it. Took him about 6-8 hours to complete and he was very satisfied by the results

This is definitely not a kids toy. There are a huge amount of parts. It is a challenging build and requires a strong focus. I’m still building it and find it very relaxing. It amazes me how Lego even developed it.

This was the only gift on my son’s Christmas list. While expensive, it was a great purchase. Believe it when it says, for 18 and older because it was very challenging to put together. My son said it was similar to building a real car. He loves all things Formula 1 so this was a big hit! Just know it is not meant for younger kids and the end product is pretty big.
