I got this for my husbands 30th birthday. He has wanted this for year but we never wanted to pay the price. It costed more a few years ago. Anyway his face lit up when he got this. It is worth every penny. Would’nt recommend for children. Very small pieces and many piece as well. The instructions are divided into two large books

OH MY GOODNESS! We bought this car for our five grandsons for Christmas in 2022. Ages 14 to 2. We thought we were clever by choosing such a complicated challenge. Instead of it taking the boys the entire holiday to put it together, it took 2.5 days. I didn’t account for their strategic planning. They ended up assigning different areas of the car to their siblings. Everyone was engaged. They had great joy putting this car together and they are looking forward to their next grandparents’ challenge. This is a BEAUTIFUL car. An awesome father-son or sibling project.

Well, I ordered this for my almost ten year old for Christmas. Fast delivery, two boxes arrived today. The Lego Logo was on the inside box and then put in another plain brown box. I wasn’t home when they arrived and my husband brought the two boxes into the house. My husband told my son not to open them, they weren’t for him. Well if that kid of mine didn’t go on Amazon’s site and see what was delivered!! We were mad at him but after reading all the great reviews I already know it’s not going back, nope. Now I have to find another great fun build for him because his birthday is also in December. Any suggestions out there! Don’t say Titanic, he’s done that already! Oh, and the other box delivered was a Lego Advent Calendar, that he didn’t notice, only the Bugatti!!!

Purchased for my hubby, I thought it would keep him busy over the winter, unfortunately it didn’t keep him occupied for as many hours as I had hoped. Nice to see finished and creates a talking point in our glass coffee table. He enjoyed making it, but the jigsaws I purchased better value for money as they kept him occupied for a longer time.

I loved this project. It actually took almost two and a half weeks as a fun evening project to fully assemble. It literally took me back towards my younger years of playing with Lego’s. As for the cost of this technic set, it actually could have been just a little over budget if it had not have been for Afirm dividing up the total payment into three monthly payments with no fees or interest rates applied.

Everything with this build was absolutely awesome. It out did my expectations. However, I do believe it is way over priced. I will continue to buy from Lego but it will be more of a price selection from now on. There are others that are some what cheaper on certain builds but all are great in my book.

Ordered this as a gift for my teen daughter – she’s gotten into building things, and these are pretty good for creating interest in mechanics, etc. The kit is beautiful, and you know that you got a high-quality product by the fact that the box is really heavy for the size – no voids or spaces in the box here!
As for ease of assembly, she has only just started in her spare time, so not far into the process, but the instructions are the usual high quality instructions you’d expect. Even better, the instructions are in two giant manuals made from high-quality paper – not cheap booklets. The first manual even has backgound on the model, the car, with photos, etc. Very nice look! Coincidentally, I just bought a new vehicle before xmas, and these instruction manuals for the Lego car model put the Owner’s manual in my new vehicle to shame…! Fyi, literally 1,000 steps to build this guy, hence 2 manuals.
It had to be high-quality, given the price – too expensive in my opinion (3 stars), but really wanted it. If the cost was lower on these higher-end kits, I would be buying more…
Still, very satisfied, you won’t be disappointed!

The car arrived as listed- in new condition. All the pieces seem to be there and my husband is in love with it! It arrived on time and in great condition!
The price was much higher than Lego’s original price, but I knew prices would bloat as soon as I discovered it had been retired. That’s how these things go, unfortunately. The good news is that based on other sellers across many marketplaces, this seller barely hyper-inflated his/her price, so that made it a lot easier to pay an inflated price.
Overall, in a similar situation, I would definitely purchase from this seller again.

It has been probably about 20 years since I last touched Lego and I definitely never built anything so complex. The quality was really amazing as well: from how solid the box is built, to the sketches of all the Bugatti cars on the inside of the cover, the layout of the boxes with the manuals and the content of the manuals with more than just instructions. Heck the design of the individual boxes with the tabs at an angle making it really easy to open – something so simple but I was really impressed. For Technic veterans I’m sure none of this is new but just the way the pieces are pre-organised in numbered boxes and bags made things easier and less cluttered (especially considering the part count).
Now for the actual car, it took roughly 11 hours to assemble. It could probably be done faster but I was really enjoying the detail: the W16 engine with moving pistons, the front and rear differentials and the gearbox to name a few. As you are building it you really get to appreciate both the simplicity and complexity (oxymoron I know) of the various components and how they compare to their real counter parts.
You definitely need patience for this regardless of whether you do it in one sitting or over multiple days – but your patience is rewarded, definitely worth the time and price.
I only have one complaint: on my car the front suspension does not seem to be able to support the weight of the front of the car. As such the nose rests on the floor (you can sort of see it in the picture). I don’t know if this is normal or if there is an issue with the springs in the parts I got.
