I’ve built about 30 of these Metal Earth models now. This one really looks nice when completed. For those complaining about the small size and the small parts to bend, roll, etc; that’s part of the challenge – to have such a small completed model with this much detail.

…easy build. Some small pieces but if one is working these types of models it’s to be expected. Authentic looking model.

  3. katie

Very nicely made and detailed model. Small and challenging. I really enjoy building these metal models. It does take some patience to learn how to assemble these kits, but once you learn the tricks it’s very satisfying!

  4. RCelano

Being a long time model builder (mostly ships), I was intrigued with these miniature metal models. The instructions were easy to read and well organized, but pay very close attention the sequence of steps as some may work better in a different order. There were no issues with fit or finish. One thing I learned was not to lay the sheets on top of one another once parts start coming out. There will be sharp edges and stacking the sheets may create scratches in the finish of the adjacent sheet.

There are many very small parts that have to be folded or formed, so if you are inexperienced with such parts there is going to be a learning curve. The proper tools are essential for assembly. Long nose non-serrated pliers and a variety of tweezers are necessary. If you have experience with photo etched parts, it will be helpful. I used the techniques for bending photo etched on many of the smaller parts. Once a small part is assembled (i.e. headlights and/or running lights) you have to be careful when handling the model as these parts can easily be bent out of position or even broken off, if you are not paying attentions. This model is rated as intermediate, so if you have no experienceit is suggested that you choose an easier model to begin with. All in all the quality of the kit is above average and with care will produce a model you can be proud of.

I liked everything about this model except the finish..for some reason it was very easy to tarnish, color lacked depth like some metal models I’ve built..and I kept my hands clean..Otherwise..stuff put together during the beginning of the build fit great at the end where they were installed…Cool car..I think leno drives one..;-)

Beautiful finished piece, but it is definitely one of the more challenging ones I have ever done. Definitely would not recommend for a beginner, but if you’ve done a few and want a decent challenge this is a good model. Definitely good to have a few different shapes and sized tools because there are a lot of really smalls bends, especially with the rim pieces.

My husband likes putting these together. The instructions are great. Easy to follow. Looks great when assembled

We loved building these meat models but these are way to hard for a child to try and build. I built this one on my own if you have large hands do not get these the parts will be to small for you to hold and bend correctly my husband is a tall man and he had trouble with building this. so I built this but we did love the different model types in metal instead of plastic!! will but again
