I love all the colors and they are smooth like butter. I guess I was expecting them to be more opaque rather than being very translucent this is why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. . I used them on canvases and wooden planks, I had to put 3 coats on to get the look I wanted .

I used these on a black canvas and in most parts didn’t have to cover the same place twice. Colors stood out and were nice quality. Will order again, when I run out!

I think the title sums it up. I’ve uploaded 2 pictures of the same objects. One with flash and one without. I’ve also included a picture of Hawaiian blue. This is how it looks after 3 coats of paint. You can see some areas still need more color… and most colors need a more metallic look. I found it easier to paint these circles with my fingers since the brushes I used would leave very noticeable streak marks which would probably have required even more layers of paint. I’m still going to sand them out just a tiny bit to minimize the streak lines a little more.
Overall, not all colors show up as metallic and more than one layer is needed to completely cover the whole area. And I wouldn’t mind so much if more layers are needed IF the color tubes were bigger or the price was lower.
Overall, I’d say “ehh”

I am not a professional painter 😂 I just recently started getting into painting those paint your own figurines. Never painted anything before until now. Purchased this paint your own bride on Amazon. Most of the paint on there is the US Art Supply metallic paints. Except the white, blue, red on the roses, green on the leaves, and the black on the hair. I found doing about 3-4 coats does the job. If I had left it at 1-2 coats…it looked streaky. One tip is to get a base coat on your model before you start painting it. I used plain white paint as my base coat and found that the metallic paint went on better with the base coat. Without the base coat, I think I would have had to use about maybe 6 coats to get a nice color with the metallic paints. Before the next coat, you will need to make sure it is dry before applying the next coat. The paints were easy to open and use. It also comes with a color wheel which comes in handy teaching an 8 year old what happens when you mix certain colors together. I really like this metallic acrylic paint set. 😊 I would purchase this set again once I run out. 36 metallic colors is a nice set to start off with.

I like the tubes because the amount will last me just fine. For me the bottles were a little too much paint. Colors are really pretty. The color wheel is nice to have which comes with it.
