Joseph –
I built this model for someone who asked me to assemble it for them. The kit is pretty simple, but the parts don’t go together cleanly…expect to do a lot of work on the fuselage and wing seams, and many of the other parts take a good bit of TLC to fit together well. The windscreen was too wide by a lot…I had to cut the windscreen in the fron/middle, remove some plastic, and rejoin it to make a clean fit. On the plus side, the panel lines are recessed, and the plastic itself is high enough quality you can scribe the lines back cleanly after sanding the detail out fixing the seems. I primed it with Mr. Surfacer 1500 Black, and airbrushed it with several applications of heavily thinned Tamiya light grey, and then shaded the right places with Tamiya dark grey. I layer down a nice, even coat of clear acrylic next, washed the panel lines black, and added the decals. The decals themselves were very hard to get off their stock paper, but the were in register, have almost no extra carrier film, arevery nicely detailed, and went on almost invisible with a little Micro Sol. I sealed the whole thing with another pass of clear acrylic. My friend was really happy with it, which was what I wanted! I would say that overall it is a good kit, but not great…nothing is really wrong with it, but expect to put in some time if you want to make it look clean. I enjoyed building it, but if I were going to do another B-52 I would probably move up to 1/72 scale and work more detail into it.

Not as big as I thought it would be(that’s what she said) I haven’t put it together yet. I haven’t built a model since I was a teenager but since when do you have to poke holes into the model? I love this plane its a beautiful aircraft and such a powerful symbol of our nations air force.

Great way to complete my collection

This is one of the first kits I built in 1/144 scale, and, overall, it is a good kit. Newer weapons such as JDAMs and cruise missiles should have been included.
Eric –
Great product
Cornelius Marinescu –
I really liked this model. Has plenty of weapons to choose from. It arrived quickly and was exactly what I was looking for. Wasn’t too difficult to assemble.
Karen Carrera –
Nice model. They are not so many producers for this type of aircratf in this size 1/144.
