I bought this set of pigments to use on my most recent 1/35 scale model diorama and loved how they worked. I have progressively gotten better at modeling and have read so much about these pigments that I finally bought some to use as part of my weathering. This is a great product used in relation to tutorials I read and am happy with the results.

I avoid using this stuff without a pigment medium or ventilation. The pigment is very fine and dusty as it should be. Great for weathering effects, or creating your own muddy textures.

I know vallejo have a thing for creating paint sets, like the skin tone set, which in my opinion are false value, its the same here. All 4 pigments are so similar.
I bought these to weather a Storm Trooper army for Star Wars Legion, and its not too bad, I’ve found the best use of them was to make the basing more interesting. The tones provided do not allow for any real contrast.
I would have preferred a set which includes a dark almost black, sand colour, red colour and brown. But all the pigment sets seem to be setup in a way to just waste money.

Superb product. This pigment set actually allows a varnish coat to be sprayed on top of it without any deterioration of the pigment or without loss of texture. I’ve tried others and not received these results.
