These paints are fantastic! The pigmentation, ease of blending and mixing, and bottle design that ensures long life with no drying out (no thank you Games-Workshop) are all huge positives.

Keep up the great work Vallejo!

  2. Sarah Hockett

The person who received this gift asked for it, because they are very meticulous in their painting.

  3. Brian

the paint is perfect for my Infinity miniature, rich pigment but not too thick. great to paint with brush, need to be dilluted to be used by airbrush. the instruction for metal effect is clear and precise. All good and up to my expectation!

  4. Sarah

Gives you the metal color on your figurines. RECOMMEND learning how to use this paint before using.

  5. SubParNinja

This is an amazing set of paints. I’ve been using Vallejo paints for years. I’ve known how to apply this particular technique but my color selection has been what held my finished paint jobs back. The guide is priceless, although it does the typical “included guide” thing and skip over some much needed details, like the fact that it utilizes airbrush and how to properly glaze/wash. I wouldn’t say this is for beginners, as you’ll need to know where to place the highlights to achieve maximum results – the guide also breezes through highlight/shade theory – but it’s definitely a good starting point for those who are looking to achieve this advanced technique.

Update 2/26/16: I’ve gotten to use this set much more since my initial review and it’s been a staple in almost every model I’ve painted since. I’ve also used them through an airbrush after using Vallejo Thinner Medium for awesome results. I highly suggest when buying this to add Vallejo Glaze and Thinner Medium in order to use the Turquoise glazing, as well as using more black in the gold recipe for shading.

  6. Kris

First time trying Vallejo paints, very satisfied with the product. When it will be time to renew my current paint bottles (Citadel), I will most likely go to this. Less expensive for more paint, high quality pigment, eye-drop bottle is really appreciated. Product was delivered quickly and packaging was perfect.

  7. Darryl K. Crescenzi

I haven’t tried these yet, but the concept looks interesting. There is a guide brochure inside the box to help you learn how these colors and shades can make something look metallic, even though the paints are not. Very clever. Of course, with the paint being Vallejo, you can’t go wrong there. Well worth the price.

  8. Noirfatale

    Great paint.

  9. james hathcock

Vallejo is by far the best paint to work with for Minis. These also seem to mix well with the other random brands I have. I will for sure be ordering more Paint sets, Decent value here on Amazon but when buying singles go to sunwardhobbies. Instead of paying $7.30 for 1 bottle they only charge 3.79.
I will note my Night blue was very watered down. It was almost an Ink. I ended up mixing it with other paints until it was thick enough and made some unique colors with it.

  10. Bobbi Burquel

Look good haven’t used them yet.

  11. michael mcminn

This is an incredibly well performing paint. The liquidity is perfect for wet blending, and they thing down well with a medium for airbrushing. The opacity is great, and they paints play nicely together. This set has the perfect blend of colors for getting started with mechs!

  12. SubParNinja

    Everything I wanted.

  13. Mar

Paint arrived quick and in perfect shape. None were dried or anything and of perfect quality. Great pigment and colors.
