Wanted to build models of the new and old alien from War Of The Worlds for my movie room. I love the plastic this model is made of. It has more substance to it than a regular kit. Detail was great. Really pleased with this model. Made a great display. Of course the fact that my son is an expert model painter didn’t hurt either.

GREAT model, but paint on the Martian seemed to take forever to lose its tackiness, perhaps because it’s more rubbery than it is plastic.

This kit has a rubber like feel, simple to assemble.

The kit was an easy build, suitable for beginners.Well crafted with solid construction. The pieces fit together easily. Nice touch to supply two sets of arms which due to the construction material are easily manipulated under heat to individualise the pose. The hollow body was a bonus for hiding the lighting kit for the creatures/helmets eyes.Good raised detail to accomodate highlighting the veins. Again the detail on the base was good. If time and care is taken over the painting it looks great. For the price a good kit.

An excellent rendition of the Martian creature from the 50s movie War of the Worlds. In some ways even better as the movie version was not as ‘present’. Another imaginative idea about what the habitats of one of Sci-Fi’s favorite planets.

Not much to putting this little guy together, and lots fun to look at. I think the Martians must have come to Earth because the ran out of varicose vein doctors!

As I posted in my review for the Martian War Machine…this is a mostly solid vinyl figure so it requires a few different paints to finish ..I used acrilics for vinyl paint and clear enamal by Model Masters for the red, blue, green lenses..There is a lighting kit as I posted in my other review from Voodoofx that will make this baby like the real thing it goes for about $40.00 ..You will need to do some drilling and soldering to make it happen but Randy at Voodoofx gives some great instructions so it’s pretty easy…Pegasus is the real star here for putting out some real beauties in the last few years….Get a Hobby and have some good clean fun…
