I received my package as the other reviewer: loose in an envelope. Since these were soft plastic figures, they were not damaged. It is my hope that they do not ship other, more fragile items this way. A card was included, seller seems to be a decent fellow, so no qualms or issues there.

Now, to the figures themselves. I had at least two or three figures “short shot” on each sprue resulting in figures with missing hands or arms. The sculpting is rough to say the least. If you’re expecting some fine sculpting as we had decades ago with some of the Airfix or ESCI figures, you’ll be disappointed. I bought these primarily for the ground crew figures because they’re the only game in town for IJN ground crew figures in 1/72nd. I haven’t decided whether I’ll ask for a refund or not, but $20.00 (US) is a bit steep for a set in which only a few figures are useful.

Not sure I’ll purchase any more Red Box figures in the future.

BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): good seller, but sketchy figures.

The box came in smashed up but the models themselves were made of soft plastic so none were broken. Not the seller’s fault, just a testament to their durability.

One weird side note is that when I shook the box to get the models out, two pieces of candy tumbled out. Frankly I was very confused and surprised since I never ordered two pieces of candy with this at all….. Maybe it was for that five star rating? Either way I don’t trust them so I am tossing them out. Either way, thanks for the good models.

The box and parts were completely crushed. Had to return.
