Description
- Arado AR 240. With a length of 186mm and a wingspan of 226mm, this model is an impressive collector's item.
- Development of the Ar 240 multi-purpose high-performance aircraft was initiated in 1938; the new aircraft was supposed to be able to penetrate far into British airspace as a high-speed destroyer.
- For this purpose, Arado developed a remote controlled defence armament in addition to a pressure cabin.
- From 1942 to 1944, some prototypes proved themselves in use as fast reconnaissance across Britain, the Mediterranean and the Eastern Front.
