    Good model. lots of detail. level 4 so it is a bit more challenging for younger builders.

    At £27.50 this is very good value for a 1/32 scale kit. The kit is modern, quite accurate, provides several options for different build variants of the early P51D-5NA Mustang and has good decals. The kit will build well straight from the box, but there are third party accessories which can be used to further improve detail. The kit does not model the engine or gun bay detail, and the undercarriage wheel well detail is a little basic. The Tamiya kit does provide these missing extra details but it is four times the price. If you want to model a late model P51D, then you will have to modify the kit with the tail fillet. This would have to be scratch built but would be within the capabilities of intermediate modellers.

    Model is great if you are not going to display the engine or guns. Cockpit is very accurate. This is not a kit for beginners and a fair amount of skill is required to produce a quality product

    Very good model kit and great value. 1:32 scale is big for a single engined fighter. Its not for the beginner really- Skill level 5 but worth taking a little time over. The mouldings are crisp and the tooling not yet worn out . Worth the money- defintely!

    At 1:32 scale this is ideal for any modeller, nice size, fits together with ease, instructions are detailed and parts identified on the sprues, I painted some parts prior to gluing together mainly the cockpit and wheel wells if the wheels are down, in all a great kit and detailed

    Really looking forward to building this, seen it made online and from the kit looks like it will build really well and at £31 for a new tool 1/32nd what’s not to like. It’s £80 cheaper than it’s rivals and apart from not having an engine to build, it’s pretty much on par details wise. Even if you went nuts with all the after market you would still save loads of money. Bargain!!!

    Great model, Revell has done a good job with this P-51. A lot of the build will seem familiar as a lot carries over from previous P-51 model. It goes together well, cockpit looks great. Take your time with the painting. There is a lot to do. I built mine gear up and will be getting another one to do gear down and with the other paint scheme. Highly recommended.

    Outstanding kit , precise in every detail, yet proprietary Revell brand paints which are detailed for application in the build sheet are unavailable in the USA ?
    I discovered this on the Revell site after purchasing the kit – a deal breaker for me . Disappointed that I could not acquire these paints particularly in such a time consuming exacting build – If you dont mind the paint hunt …build it
