    My husband got it to put together for my Dad who is a Vietnam Vet that ran the Swift boats. Dad loved it and said it was one of the most thoughtful gifts he could of received!

    Almost 40 years ago Monogram came out with a Swift Patrol boat. Scale-wise being 1/48th scale, it was neither fish nor fowl. This new kit includes a modicum of interior detail, a comprehensive set of deck fittings, well produced decals,and a very detailed instruction booklet. There is some minor flash issues easily removed with the proper care. Hopefully, Revell can down-scale the old molds of the Sampan and RAG boat to complete the series.

    Impressive kit absolutely destroyed by sending the model in a soft sleeve from UK to Pacific NW. By the time it arrived it was absolutely destroyed,unable to give as a gift.

    This suppose to be a gift . Who sending box in paper envelope??? Inside all parts are not protected. This boat is very small. This is NOT worth the money.

    Nice looking model and large.

    As always, though, the usual issues of needing to fix and reshape sections of the plastic as well as even not using a few because they just don’t fit.

    This is rated as a 4 out of 5 diff and has almost 100 pieces, so as usual, I am making a mess of it, but it is fun, and that is the key thing.
