basic kit is ok but get down to the smaller parts and it is a waist of money
the instructions are not good enough for this money esp. the instructions for the canopy and the guns are v pour my advise is to give it a by

  2. Kindle Customer

    It was okay

I build scale models of different subjects. However, I have only built an airplane once and needed some practice. Revell has some very good models at a variety of price points. I was using this model, not as a display but for practice. I was pleased with the quality at this price. It had some flash, but I always trim and clean my models, so it was just a regular aspect of a build. The number of fit issues was far less than anticipated. This kit will require more attention than those at a higher price. It would be an excellent beginners kit; reasonable price and not too involved. A great project that can be done as a family project.

I really enjoyed putting this model together. After building models when I was a kid, I decided to try my hand at it again in adulthood. I have never painted my models when I was a kid, so I wanted to do this with the new ones I was putting together. I had built another Revell 1:48 scale model before this, a P-51 Mustang. In all honesty, I botched that one, and should have completed a few more smaller ones before I attempted this one.

It’ll use a lot of paint and glue. It’s quite big (maybe a foot and a half wingspan or so), so make sure you have enough room to put it (I hung it from the ceiling in my workshop). It took me a long time to complete, but most of that was painting honestly.

I always build my models with the landing gears up. It was sort of difficult to do that with this model, as it was made to be built with the landing gears down. So I ended up with some uneven surfaces and gaps in the landing gear bay/cover areas.

All and all I am very happy with this model. The B-25 Mitchell has to be one of the sexiest WWII bombers and it looks as such in my workshop.

    Very nice detail, very realistic.

  7. DG

El modelo viene mas o menos bien, hay detalles del vaciado del plastico de las partes que tienen rebaba, y los numero de las piezas no se notan muy bien, en general, solo hay que dedicarle un poco mas de tiempo para su armado

  8. Claudio Abreu

Not bad, the figures are crap though I modified two of them it came out ok. The plane is nice just have to reconfigure things here and there.

Arrived before the expected date. A1.
Very good looking model. Have not started yet.

As with most bombers definitely reccomend some experience, especially as I see many reviews where people tried tackling this beast with over 10 .50 cal. machine guns as there first model or first plane after a decade away and are exhausted because they had to use a little “putty”. Put the time and effort in and you will be rewarded, but do 4-5 single engine Tamiya fighters as you work your way up. I’ve started my 2nd of what will be a 3 B25 Diorama and while slow going the reward has been wonderful. I do find it a bit on the pricey side but bombers always are. Very enjoyable project with very enjoyable plane!!!

  11. NK

parts do not fit well took a long time to build.
When finished and painted its not a bad model but its not for first timers.
you can paint over the nose if you want as some were so converted in the field

  12. Ron

This model is not top quality. The panel lines are not recessed. The sprues are old and not crisp like a Tamiya kit; however, you can’t get a bomber like this for this price. Most are triple this amount. This is a great kit for a first time modeler who is not interested in buying a bunch of mod kits to make it look perfect or spend 100 hours on it. It is hard not to be happy with what you get for the price. I plan to use as a quick confidence builder inbetween my longer projects. It will look great once done and tee me up to take on better bomber kits.
