    My twelve-year old nephew expressed an interest in putting together a model car, so I did some research and landed on this kit for us to work on together. Well actually, I bought this one for my twelve-year old nephew, and another one that I thought my seven-year old nephew and I could put together (with lots of help) at the same time.

    Uh, NOPE. Manufacturer recommended age: 10 years and up. Are they KIDDING with this? I ended up basically putting the whole thing together for my older nephew. It was all just too tedious for him to keep his attention. We actually never finished it. No WAY would my younger nephew have been able to work on his, even with extensive help from me.

    Now, this is a good kit, barring the recommended age being, in my opinion, just plain wrong. The instructions were reasonably good and there was nothing really wrong with it. I just wish that I had chosen something else that he could/would actually do by himself.

    Received with broken parts,also some parts. Missing. This is the first time that I have had a problem with any of the re cell car kits.

    Nice kit. One complaint was that the racing stripes didn’t come out that great, though a skilled modeler would probably have no trouble. There were two gear shifts left over that I assume were for an optional build that was eliminated from the instructions at some point.. Those parts weren’t even listed in the inventory. Looks like the designer intended for the wheels to roll, but I glued them in place because they kept “sagging.” That was probably the only fit problem.

    Awesome kit, fit finish and details are great. very highly detailed 289 K code engine. Very nice decal kit. These cars are now selling for $150,000 so this the only way I can afford one!!

    The model itself was ok and fairly fun to build, but……the decals were impossible…made no sense at all. If you purchase this and don’t intend to use the decals, its a decent kit. if you want to use decals….find another model.

    A nurse that took care of my mother reached out on Facebook asking if anyone had any car models lying around that people buy but never put together. She had an elderly patient that loved building car models.. I commented that i would love to purchase one for him.. she says he loved it and will send a picture after it’s completed.

    This kit of 91 parts is 7.4” long. The decals were flimsy so that’s why only 4 stars ⭐️. Directions were clear and it was mucho fun to build. The crucial frame to body fit was excellent and didn’t need gluing though I still glued a little for insurance. The side windows could have been a little bit larger there’s no room for error.
