  1. William Conwell

An older kit with upgrades photo etch parts, a metal gun barrel, crew, a sprue of gas cans and drums and a motorcycle. Nothing in this kit makes for a hard build and it practically a diorama in a box.

  2. Rachel Broad

Nice model with plenty of extras

  3. William Conwell

I enjoyed the detail and the figures. The photo etched screen on the turret was a particularly nice touch. The wheels were ingeniously designed to move. The motorcycle’s handlebars turn. I hope to have time this summer to do a diorama with these parts.

  4. Jinx

I ordered five items all by same maker and same retailer. Very pleased.

  5. Donald F. Lum

Overall, an excellent kit. I’d be willing to pay more if it offered a few interior details. No 10th Panzer Division decals are provided. The DKW NZ 350 motorcycle was dated.

  6. Amazon Customer

Missing parts (metal gun and plastic netting)

  7. B Cashman

The figure inside the model was difficult to place. The seat broke because it did not fit right.

  8. hcannon5698

Easy to assemble and excellent detail good value for money

I have to assume that the people giving this 5 stars have never put a model together before. Or at least they have never ventured from Tamiya into anything else. 5 stars on this just isn’t reality.

While it is easy to assemble, as most Tamiya kits are, there are too many seams, flash and ejector marks. Seams on the frame and undercarriage are not even, giving it a raised surface on one side. If doing a lot of cleanup and putty work is your idea of a 5 star product then I’d hate to see what you think a two star model is.

If you’ve never built a model before then this release from Tamiya might be a great place to start. As I said the fit is very good and it comes with photoetch for the screen and a metal gun barrel. And you can usually find the kit cheap if you look. Japanese sellers give good prices if you’re okay waiting for a while before it shows up at your door. It does build up to a decent display piece. With the motorcycle, figures and accessories it’s a lot of modelling for the small price. So the kit is not without some merit. Assembly is easy but the cleanup work is required.

But 5 stars? Ummm… no. Not until Tamiya retools this anyway. Check out the Hobby Boss version of this vehicle. It’s more expensive but you’ll see something closer to 5 stars than this.

  10. Ken Lang

Great fit…PE for the turret cage. Nice cycle also…but…

I got four soldiers and one is in no way 1/35 unless he is a genetically modified troop?
    His head is huge….
I highly recommend this kit…I give it two thumbs up!

This is a fairly priced model and was what I expected. It is above average in assembly with some very small parts that require patience, but overall a good model kit.

    Great model

This kit contains two vehicles and three figures, as well as extras like fuel drums and stowage equipment. The kit is made from styrene-based plastic and requires plastic cement for assembly. The mesh on the turret is photo-etched brass and the gun barrel is turned aluminium, and these parts require cyanoactylate (super glue) for assembly. The interior is highly detailed and will need to be painted before the outer hull is assembled. This is a more advanced kit that will require previous model making experience.
