    Everything fit great. I’ve realized I flipped the bed side mesh. Easy fix. Pay close attention to instructions. Fun build. Planning another. Depending on detail desired could be tough for beginners.

    Excellent quality kit as you expect from Tamiya, good moldings with crisp details. Unusual subject.
    UNFORTUNATELY no decals at all included despite what the Amazon page says. I half expected some decals removed but in this case I got nothing at all.
    This is a great shame because I was using this kit to make a diorama but it will now look half finished and will not be accurate.
    Amazon should stop kits being sold without a clear statement if decals removed.

    This is a Father’s Day gift for the old man, who has build many kits by Tamiya without problem. I have little doubt that this kit will be equally as entertaining and challenging to build, but it comes without any decals. 🙁
    I’m sure the model is fine, but as it’s missing the transfers (all of them), it’ll never be a true looking model.

    This is a really nice kit. I’m not done yet, but close. Easy if you want it to be. But a great platform for painting, weathering, etc. I don’t think I want the winter camo, so I don’t know if I’m going to work on the figures or not.

    Excellent model with very sharp features and hardly any clean-up. I am sure the finished product will turn out well. So far I have finished the crewmen. The fit is excellent with very clear instructions. However the truck body and wheels were tricky.

    I built this kit as a 14 year old, more than 35 years ago, and it was a fantastic kit! The figures really made this kit perfect for a diorama, a lot of kit for your money. All these years later, and after having just returned to the hobby, I was looking forward to re-vistiting this kit. Well, all I can say is a fantastic kit has been ruined by political correctness. ALL of the decal sheets have been removed from the kit. Why? Because they had the SS designated vehicle registration numbers and the SS divisional emblems on them. Even the instruction sheet has had the ‘SS’s blacked out. Not just blacked out, but ‘over stamped’ by some kind of black rubbery ‘decal’ no doubt made up from all the melted down SS decals.

    Sorry, but for us modellers who like their kits to be historically correct, a kit with no decals is a kit worth nothing. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED, Had I known that the decals had been removed, I’d have purchased this kit elsewhere. Come on Amazon, you know the decals have been removed yet the product information still says ‘waterslide decals included’. I am tempted to return the kit, but I have spare decals from another.

    This is a fairly old kit but it was one that I had on my wish list for some time since it included a crew to fit the flakvierling which Tamiya don’t include with that kit & don’t sell separately (why). I didn’t buy it straight away because it was only available from Japan at vast cost (why). I finally found it at a very reasonable price from ‘Buyforlessonline'(£26.00ish) through Amazon.
    The halftrack tractor is a version of the ‘Famo’, also on my wish list for some time,used as a towing tractor for the 88mm flak/antitank gun (great kit, good value, with crew).
    I already had the crewless flakvierling so I was able to configure one in fighting mode & one in travel mode with some riders to tow the 88mm in travel mode with it’s amo. cases stowed in the rear. Result!
    The kit itself had some issues. The bonnet & dashboard fit were a bit off & the tracks were a bit short even with the idler ajuster set short, nothing that couldn’t be fixed with filler putty, a bit of carving & a couple of staples however, though I am glad I waited until I found it cheaper.

    Sadly amazon UK still fail to say ‘shipped from Germany’ on the description, so still the decal sheet has been removed and the instructions obscured. I’ll be honest, if I had known that the description was wrong and it wouldn’t have a ‘detailed decal sheet, I would have bought it somewhere else. As this seems to be a known problem amazon should change the description to say ‘don’t expect to find any decals’. I had a dissapointed son yesterday. Thanks for that.
