    this was awesome get it

Seems to be well made and works well. I put silicon grease on the O-ring as suggested and had no issues. Kids are 6 and 3 and had a ball. If the were older I would build one from plans on the internet but for now this wets their imagination and sets the stage for later a little pricy but we’ll made and it looks like they took safety into consideration when manufacturing. At the price maybe fins should have been included that said overall satisfied and as I said the kids had a blast

Highly recommended!.. My only two issues are as follows:
[1] The price – its pricey!!!… Im glad I purchased it, and Iv certainly got my money’s worth from it, but am still surprised by how expensive it actually was when purchased… To be fair however, it does work out cheaper than some of the competition though, and does save you a lot of hassle building your own set up… There is not a lot of competition out there to compare directly with it, but what is out there often involves hassle, DIY skills or more expensive components (and again, Id level the same complaints there too, but won’t mention the companies involved)…

[2] Expect to go through a lot of rubber seals… What was provided in terms of rubber seals was inadequate the number of times you’ll likely use it, so I recommend you go out and buy some cheap rubber hair bands, the type used for pony-tailing your daughters hair – you’ll need them!…

Other wise, I have to say, my kids love it – and yes, despite the above, Id still recommend the product…

We only uses it once for 20 launches at a camp. The pressure release vale would release at 20 pounds some times, it would not all the way release the pressure causing it to come off with more gusto than is safe; the pull/trigger mechanism often did not work. When it worked, it worked and when it failed it was awful for the kids and caused a lot of waiting. So one might be better off following the NASA plans to build your own. Also Dr. Pepper bottles do not work and some others did not either. After a child decorates and builds fins and nose cone for their rocket and then it will not work, it is pretty sad.

Needed this for son’s 4-H project of bottle rockets. Need a bike pump to add pressure to launch but overall a great time. Works like a charm once you get the right air/water pressure. Added bonus the whole family enjoyed launching the rockets for this project. Son got 2nd place in county judging for his project!

A bit high priced for what it is but the kids love it.

Although expensive for what it is- it really does work. It launches the bottle much higher than I expected and it’s provided so much fun for my Son. Would recommend.

My 13yr old son has been having a blast (pun intended 🙂 with this bottle rocket launcher. I had bought the materials for other types of rockets in the past and they are expensive and sometimes tricky to assemble and use. This is perfect because he can use bottles more than once, adjust the psi to change the height and blast intensity. Definitely a product I would recommend to anyone!

Wish it had a higher pressure cut off. Granted, I got this for my 12yr old nephew, so that’s probably a good thing.. but the kid in me wants bigger, higher, and faster! Haha

This would have been season 6 for our Aquapod. I purchased it in 2015 and we’ve launched it hundreds of times each year. We’ve definitely surpassed 1000 launches and I wouldn’t be surprised if we have over 2000 launches on this bad boy.

But alas, all good things come to an end and sadly, this year its plastic frame succumbed to fatigue as can be seen in the accompanying photo. It’s understandably the weak spot. I see other reviews where people are timidly pumping it up to 40 psi, etc. As Brian Wilson famously said once, “Not my boys!” We pump it until the pressure relief valve kicks in. Max pressure! Is a design revision in order? Maybe. Maybe the mold could be augmented along the edge where ours eventually cracked.

But we extracted full value and then some from the Aquapod. As a father, I’ve been to every one of my 6 kids’ elementary school classes demonstrating Newton’s Laws with the Aquapod. For the older classes, I made up an experimental project where we varied the volume of water in the bottle and the pressure and estimate height with a few kids spotting the angle when the bottles reached apogee. You could spend a solid week teaching with the Aquapod.

Without fail, when we break out the Aquapod a crowd gathers. It doesn’t matter the age, the Aquapod sucks people in like flies to excrement. My kids got such a kick out of our 85 yo retired engineer neighbor acting like he was 12 playing with this thing.

Needless to say, I’m writing this review because I came back to buy it again. Can’t wait for the new one to arrive in the mail!

Kids had lots of fun with this on Easter morning. We bought a good quality pump that shows the psi which made it easier to know how much to pump (exactly 40!psi was perfect). Didn’t need a full bottle of water for it to work. Comes with spikes that stick in the ground so it doesn’t tip over when you pull the rope. Grampa for the win!

This product has put smiles on probably hundreds of kids and passersby and neighbors and friends and park goers.

So I am writing a review because of how much fun we’ve had.
But I am also writing to hopefully help people who are having problems with theirs.
FYI ours is one that for some reason always triggers the pressure release valve at about 15 psi. We’ve been with other people who are able to get higher psi with their Aquapod and if there is any difference in height gosh it’s so minimal that I don’t notice.
15 psi has gotten our rocket (no fins, or nose cone, just 2L bottle) probably 60-70 ft.
The noise it makes, and the slowmo videos really make you feel like you are at a rocket launch.
Where we have had problems is…..many times we would have the rocket all pumped up with everybody watching and we’d pull the string and…….nothing.
I have noticed in the reviews that others have had that problem too.
After much trial and error, we discovered that when you put the bottle on the nozzle you have to make sure that the o-ring has stayed in its little groove. If it has come out of that little groove at all, the rocket will not launch. Sometimes I have to put the rocket on the nozzle 4-5 times before I get it on with the o-ring seated in its little groove correctly. But honestly that doesn’t take much more than a couple minutes and some attention to detail…checking the o-ring from every angle to make sure. SOmetimes I’ve thought I’ve checked from every angle, only to find that in one little spot, the o-ring came out of the groove.
As long as the o-ring is in the groove, the rocket has launched great for us.
Note….We have yet to find a combo of fins and nose cone and extra weight and amount of water and amount of pressure that causes a 2L rocket to launch consistently straight without going end over end. But that just means that every time we go out, we feel like we are doing science….testing some small change in the variables. Much fun for ages 3 to 99.

If you don’t lube the o-rings on the launch stand where the bottle mates with the main unit, it will not launch when the cord is pulled.

If you do this, and use around 15-20 pumps of your air pump, it will fly!

The weak point on this product seems to be the valve stem where your bike pump or compressor attaches.
