  1. Ruth in Salt Lake City

Nice clean molding but the plastic is soft and requires careful trimming. The individual detailing parts are great but the molded in place details such as ladders are not. This model is missing some details on the mast. The painting guide from Trumpeter is poor and lacks detail especially on the smaller parts. I guess the worst part about this model are the instructions for the PE railings. The only illustration of PE railings is the nets on the rear helicopter landing pad and an optional PE screen on the side of the ship. There are no instructions about where and how to place any of the other PE railings which surround the entire ship. This is the first ship I have tried to build and although I have had a blast building her, this has been the most frustrating part. For the price you pay, one would expect first class instructions and paint guides instead of the crap included. I going to try a Dragon Models 1/350 ship for my next ship build at about half the price….

Very detailed model kit. Can be built as a waterline or full model. Very pleased with the quality of the kit and highly recommend.
