  1. Fred

I use Tamaya Fine Surface Primer from a spray can to lightly cover the entire model. This then allows the acrylic paints to bond to the model. In the airbrush mixing cup I add half pigment (10 drops), and then Vallejo airbrush thinner (8 to 10 drops). The USAF colors are perfectly accurate as is all there military colors. Best yet there are no paint fumes and easy clean up.

  2. Dean

I have received these paints 7 x pots were full but 1 x pot the Dark Gull Gray is empty with no evidence of leaking . Now if I want this sorted out I have to post the whole set back at my expense which will cost more than the 1 pot to buy really not acceptable. As you can see in the photo 17ml of paint plus 10ml for pot equals 26ml but the dark ocean gray only weighed 12ml so 10ml for the pot equals only 2ml of paint

  3. Roger E Freeman

I like the selection of different gray paints. I will be using these on some models of USAF jet fighters.

  4. Patrick Waks

Perfect assortment of colors for pretty much all USAF jets. The ‘Light Ghost Grey’ is a primer, so you might want to thin it out more if you pre-shade.

Perfect eye drop bottles makes it very easy to use, just drop directly from the bottle into the airbrush or onto a cap or something for brushing. When brushing you might want to make a couple of extra coats since the paint is thinned for airbrush.

I just wish the bottles were bigger, since it’s mainly the fuselage and wings that takes these colors you use quite a bit of it at times, especially if you build in 1/48.

  5. Ima azhole

I have a love of USAF/USN jets so this set is a no brainer. Shame they don’t do it in larger sized bottles as I’ve virtually used all of the USN light ghost grey on one 1/48 F-15! Hence why only 4 stars.
I only use Vallejo or Tamiya acrylics having just got back into scale models after an 8 year hiatus and these were recommended to me by quite a few people. As they’re model Air paints they don’t need thinning and work flawlessly in my H&S airbrushes with no clumping, spluttering and it didn’t dry out too quickly either.
It even has the most common camo patterns with the appropriate colours for each on the back of the box. Highly recommended.

  6. Glenn Meyers

This is a great set for airbrushing recent USAF aircraft. The airbrush colors included in this set are a great match for standard USAF paint colors. There is even a paint scheme guide for several airplanes on the back of the box!

  7. Mike Belli

Didn’t arrive clumpy like other Vallejo paint I’ve bought off Amazon

  8. Spuduk

Used for airbrushing plastic models. Excellent.

  9. Mike Belli

Vallejo always makes a good product

  10. Lawton Gore

These paints are as advertised, and I love the fact that I can just put the paint into my airbrush a drop at a time if needed.

  11. Joe

im not sure why the ghost grey for the A-10 is a primer

  12. Mr. Phil Bucknall

    as described

  13. Amazon Customer

I use these paints for plastic models. They work well with a Iwata NEO and Ninja Jet. A good way to get the right colors for your project.
