So instead of buy one piece at a time I got this monster of a collection. I really cant complain to much about it as it is as advertised. However I do wish that more details then just the molded walls were included. Like rain gutters and security cameras, or perhaps just some better details in the bits and pieces. These kits should really come with window decals for curtains and even scenes to put inside the shells. I did NOT like the resin platform for the depot, will definitely be making my own from scratch. as the resin one did not mold well and details are sloppy at best. Still with that said, this is the ideal way to buy buildings. I do wish they had a modern set instead of a turn of the century setting. Not everyone wants a 1960 erra layout. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD IN MODEL RAILROADING WOODLAND SCENICS MAKE SOME MODERN BUILDINGS, I’LL EVEN TAKE 80S STYLE BUT IT’S 2020S 100 YEAR OLD BUILDINGS AREN’T FOR EVERYONE.

Excellent value. Well packaged except for white metal castings. Delicate items like light poles are packaged together in one bag causing breakage and bending. Be prepared to do some straightening and gluing for broken parts as well as alot of painting for metal as well as the 15 buildings. Inclues hydrocal casings for train station base and Railway Express building docks. Good for Grand Valley layout or other layouts/dioramas.

As advertised and a great price. I’m a beginner and it’s not to difficult to put together. You’ll need a few things like a file or dremel to get it done.

  5. Terry S.

Woodland scenics buildings are some of the best designed and easiest to build. They require a bit of skill at painting, but are more than worth the effort when completed.
