11 reviews for Woodland Scenics Scene-A-Rama Rock Making Kit, Multicolor

  1. Martin M.

The rocks are so thin and small. Fell apart

  2. Joel Kitson

Mold cracked straight away, it’s a vacuum formed mold, not silicone like all woodlands scenics others. Plaster supplied cracked (tried with own in unbroken sections and didn’t crack) just buy a better mold

  3. Alberto Abellaneda

El molde no es como se muestra en las imágenes por lo que las rocas no salen del todo bien, la bolsa con piedras es mucho más pequeña de lo que parece, las pinturas hacen su trabajo pero nada más

  4. GaryRI

Product was good quality and instructions were easy. There could have been a little more material to finish the job I was trying to do.

  5. Tom

Well first off I want to say I have no experience with molded building. But would like to say this tought me a little about making dioramas . I believe the molds could be a little more flexible maybe made of some kind of rubber. I broke mine after a few uses, this could be my inexperience. Otherwise it was a good practice exercise

  6. michael womack

    Looks good

  7. Eugene Underwood

This is a lot of fun and it’s a well-thought-out kit. I do have one quibble which is that the mold is not rubbery but hard plastic so it is more difficult to use than their other products. Nevertheless, it gives you a sense of whether you want to do more diorama building at a low cost.

  8. Peter Beutel

These learning kits by Woodland Scenics are great. They introduce one to an awesome line of products and explain how to use them. This one explains how to model rocks, paint them, and place them in settings that look great. Everything you need is in this little box. Once you try it and get comfortable using the elements, I expect you will order more of the products to build larger landscapes or projects.

Woodland Scenics makes genuine quality products, and once you try them, you will be hooked and will want to use them regularly and pretty much to the exclusion of products made by anyone else. At least, that has been my experience. I have their website on my favorites list and have bought their catalog to see everything they make. You can sometimes get a better price through Amazon, but the Woodland Scenics’ website offers all of their products at reasonable prices and delivery time is quick. And there are some products there that can’t be found on Amazon, yet.

Back to this Rock Outcropping Kit. It taught me how to make and model rocks. Now, I am making my own molds with Woodland Scenics Latex and putting together some pretty cool landscapes and terrain structures. It starts here.

  9. Namaste

Great kit! Everything turned out really nice. We needed more of a rocky terrain for Alpine Ibex habitat so we also bought the rock kit.

  10. The Cajun

    Works fine.

I realised after buying the kit, making a paper mace from cornstach and used paper will give the same effect and requires the same effort.
