I spent a lot of time reviewing this model and decided to buy it for my layout. It looks and sounds absolutely great – but my particular one couldn’t pull more than two Amfleet cars – and even on its own makes some weird loud noises like a bearing is slipping, which would explain the locomotives poor performance. I’m hoping this was just one defective model as I’ve returned it for an exchange. Hope the next one works!
