This might not be a put together model like the amt one but this one at least didn’t look like garbage. Thank you for making a good looking product. If you’re looking for a good Star Trek model this is the one for you!

Let’s start by saying this model is a heavy diecast ship. Everything is perfectly aligned and the paint job is spectacular. As you can see the box it came in is well padded and formed to all pieces. The stand is subpar but is functional considering the weight and structure of the Enterprise. I am and have always been a StarTrek fan of old and TNG. This is the original ship and fitting that it arrived first of the 5 ships I ordered. The makers did a fantastic job with this model, I will review all when they arrive. Don’t hesitate to order.

Or, it was my turn to receive the model with the broken deflector dish. As was pointed out in another review, the soft packing does not appear to be up to the task of protecting the model. Note how the deflector dish snapped off and the dish’s feedhorn was bent. Hey, at least the warp nacelles survived the voyage. Also notice how the window paints are misaligned on the underside of the saucer section. The quality control issues raised in earlier reviews still appear to be present in July 2022.
Hey eaglemoss I’m still on your side and I still want to buy your products, but as far as Trek goes, this vessel is the foundation for the series. You have got to do a better job.

Recieved package in a box with packing bubbles. Package was in great condition. Upon opening to inspect I noticed the tip that protrudes from the deflector dish had broken off. This is the first collevtors box I have received with a soft foam interior vs. the hard styrofoam shell. The deflector dish pushes into the foam. If the manufacturer could reshape that portion of the foam to prevent anything touching the tip it should help. For anyone ordering this, when you go to remove the ship, pull the ship towards the aft to make sure the dish is free from the foam before lifting out.

If I had been a 10-year-old boy I would have been over the world with this model! I can see myself not letting go of this model everywhere I went. Tremendous model, superb detail and a well-admired desk ornament!

Not to much to say, pretty accurate and feels good. However the antenna on the dish came not glued in. If you have the skill and a model kit, you could easily fix it. However I have neither so that’s why 4 star.

I loved the picture of the ship but when I got mine the nacelles were broken and the radar on the bottom of the ship.

**Edit: Unfortunately, prices of these Eaglemoss models has gotten completely absurd. This review is based on paying no more than a $75 price point. Above that price, it is completely not worth it**
The model is good overall (Radar dish was not broken!) and will certainly look nice in your collection, however upon closer inspection the problems become apparent. Large, noticeable panel gaps in key places really stand out and detract from what would otherwise be an excellent model. The warp nacelles are also very misaligned, and will be difficult to correct without breaking something. Given the price of the model I expected a little better quality.

Excellent replica of the ‘real’ thing. However; Not impressed w the look of the array in front and I’m not a fan of the stand included. Fits in perfect w my Klingon Battlecruiser and Romulan Bird of Prey.

I’ve purchased a few other of the Eaglemoss ships, of various sizes, and while all are good, the painting or logos aren’t always perfect or lined up exactly, but it’s usually minor. This one was perfect. The nacelles aren’t at weird angles, there’s nothing slightly off. It’s done exactly right. I was impressed and overall very satisfied. Obviously the clunky stand they supply is awful, but it’s the same ridiculous stand they use on all of them (dear Eaglemoss I couldn’t care less if there was a little hole at the bottom of the ship where a stand fit in, vs. the bulky clear plastic stand you use that completely distracts from the nice clean lines of the ships), but that’s to be expected. I would definitely recommend the product!

Of all the great Eaglemoss Star Trek XL sizw ships, this one is my favorite. The XL size NX-01 Enterprise is a very close second, but this particular ship instantly brings back such fond childhood memories so I had to own it. My first shipment of this model arrived damaged and it took some time to get a replacement but Amazon made it right and I’m very happy with my purchase. Also, If you do a search on eBay for ‘acrylic display stand for the Eaglemoss XL Enterprise’ there is a company that makes beautiful acrylic display stands for this model and some of the other XL size ships that I highly recommend.
