one of your best. assembly was easy and accurate. you gained a repeat customer with the laser cut ,what an improvement over the older product requiring cutting all the formers, etc….

All the Guillow’s models in this series are very nice. I replace the balsa stick wood with bass wood which weighs almost the same but is much tougher. I convert these to electric powered radio control. When done I sheet the models with 1/32 inch balsa sheet and then cover it with Solite iron on covering which makes the models tougher and more realistic as the originals were metal sheeted. When I finish this one I will include a picture of the end result.

This airplane is my 2nd attempt at a balsa kit and the 1st came out so well that I promptly wanted to do another. This kit is so fragile with most stringers made of 1/16 square balsa that it almost impossible to build without breaking stuff. A very skilled builder would do ok but a novice had better have a lot of patience and a light touch.
The kit is of good quality but it is striving for ultra light weight.

The instructions need to be read completely at least 4 times before starting the build as there are several ways to assemble it and you have to search all over the directions to make sure you know what to do. They arnt hard to follow but the extra info is kinda added in where ever there is room. Basic quality is fine but attention to all details will save a lot of frustration.
Mine is 1/2 done and is going on the shelf maybe forever or until I feel my builder skills improve enough to quit breaking stuff. I am retired so I am in no hurry to build this.

If you have ever assembled a die cut Guillow model, when you get a laser cut kit, you’ll think you died and went to heaven. The parts snap out and you don’t need to spend so much time “cleaning up” the pieces. This is not to say that there aren’t some issues. Part A5 did not fit properly into parts B1 and B2. I suggest prefitting A5 to B1 and B2 before attaching them to the keel.

All in all, I really enjoyed assembling this model.

I don’t know why you would give this kit 1 star because it’s to advanced for you. Great kit, laser cut is awesome and def a big upgrade from the die cut.

parts were missing from box. had to remake from balsa wood blanks.
