Great kit for getting started in stick and tissue building. I suppose it could fly with a little modification, but the structure is too delicate to survive a crash. As this was my first build, I strongly suggest using a bulletin board to build on so to pin pieces together after gluing.

  2. Cal

    Easy to put together

  3. Shannon Miller

    Great,thanks.

This was purchased for my father who has since passed away. He used to love to do models, and he would sit for hours and work at them. He asked for this one and one other as his last Christmas and birthday present. His eyes lit up when he opened them both. He spoke highly of Guillow, and he kept their brochure by his chair, with the models he was going to do marked off with his trademark check. Thank you Guillow for your quality products and for the many hours you gave my father over the years.

I bought this kit amonth ago and have very much enjoyed spending a couple of hours a day to build it to be used as a display model. Fabulous kit as all guillows types tend to be. Plans are detailed and easy to follow. Attention to aircraft detail is good. Guillows are quality kits and not expensive.

My favorite Guillows model so far. Has an interesting design which is not too difficult to complete. Comes with white tissue paper, but I used my own colored paper. It took a couple of weeks, after I had already gained some experience building two other models. It has no landing gear and does not sit flat, so hang it from the ceiling when you are finished.

    On time and excellent product

Just what I thought it would be. Looking forward to building it.

If your looking for a quick easy stick n tissue build this is for you. Just take your time and be patient and it comes together almost perfectly, I just had to do a little sanding where the wing and tail wing attach to the plane.

I tried to make this model and I found that certain pieces were larger than the plan.

I used this kit as the basis to build an A6M(5?) Zero model for a film project. (I left the pontoons off of it, but added one of the smaller ones to the center to double as a “drop tank) This is the first ever balsa and tissue kit I’ve ever built. This is probably a decent kit for beginners. The finished model is a decent scale. I was happy with the end results.

  12. Jorge

Laser cut makes all the difference in the build, good quality but not much there, still fun to build.
