Les instructions sont relativement claires et précises. Les pièces en balsa sont parfois imprécises (”die cut” et non pas ”laser cut”. ) Certaines pièces en plastique mince ne sont pas enlignables correctement. Les cylindres du moteur sont de tailles différentes et en fait, ce moteur manque totalement de réalisme. Sinon, un bon passe-temps à assembler mais il ne faut pas s’attendre à finir avec un modèle d’exposition.

Maybe this is the norm for this company, and I am too new to be able to accept and deal with it, but I am disappointed! The small thin parts needed EXTREME care to break out at all, and all the parts had poorly defined edges after removal. I was in no hurry, and tried to exercise great care, but the results were not acceptable. After making repairs and cleaning up the parts, it was still obvious that the end result of building this model was going to be a “just OK” model . . . but that is not what I had hoped for from this company!

Kit contains full size plans, balsa sheets are plainly marked and die cut, instructions are easy to follow. This particular kit does not have the parts included for making it a U-Control. It is for making a free-flight rubber band flying model. Needed is hobby knife to separate balsa and plastic parts, glue to secure balsa parts and attach paper covering and plastic glue for assembling pilot and motor pieces and plastic paints and various acrylic paints. A very worthwhile kit to build and fly.

Pour apprécier ce produit STEARMAN PT 17, il serait souhaitable que le fabricant GUILLOW’S ainsi que le vendeur AMAZON indique que la notice et mode d’emploi pour construire la maquette d’avion d’INDIQUER que ces documents insérés dans cette boîte se trouve être en ANGLAIS. Dommage pour une personne qui souhaite offrir ce genre de produit à Noel pour une personne qui ne connait pas du
tout un seul mot d’anglais. Donc la corvée est de rigueur pour la personne qui offre !!! de plus impossible de trouver la traduction de cette maquette, celle découverte sur le site GUILLOW’S correspond fidèlement à celle que vous pouvez demander à Google !!! UN CONSEIL : BIEN INDIQUER QUE LES NOTICES D’instruction sont en Anglais, ceci évitera beaucoup de tracas à la personne qui achète ce produit ou demander à Guillow de traduire leurs notices sachant qu’ils vendent ce genre de produit en dehors de leur territoire. Il est grand temps de s’adapter à tout pays de l’Europe, pourquoi toujours devoir savoir l’Anglais ??? Merci

Good kit. Dont let the smashed stamped kit scare you. Only complaint i have is that the instructions are not very well written. Looks great as a static!

The parts stamping are of a poor quality. They are hard to cut out, and need lots of sanding. It looks like it’s going to turn out OK but there’s going to be a lot of extra work to make it look nice, and fly. Iv’e built a couple Guillows kits back in the 70’s as control line planes. Back then they where stamped a lot better. They flew nice then. I’m going RC with this one, we’ll see what happens. It’s not worth 50 bucks. Maybe $25 to $30. Not exactly what I expected from Guillow.

The balsa parts are fairly easy to work with. The plastic parts are brittle and hard to work with. The tissue takes a fair amount of time to get it right
