A beautiful kit, the perfect gift for the hobbyist in your life. My dad built models like this for as long as I can remember and he was so excited to receive this as a gift. He has hours of fun ahead and I can’t wait to see the paint job he has waiting for this bad boy when he finishes it!

A great kit!

This is a very nice kit with excellent detail and lots of parts. Some parts are very small but not enough to be a nuisance. I had problems with two ladders that needed rungs installed. When glue was applied the almost invisible locator holes disappeared and became impossible to build but that was the only glitch on a model with over 1700 pieces. It was a whole lot of fun to build. It took me 17 long days and nights of enjoyment. It’s long with seven double track pieces but it fits on five with the barrel overhanging. Painting is not a problem, the train and cannon are all one color except two rounds of ammo and some silver on the barrel. Tracks were also easy to paint. Fit is excellent. I highly recommend for experienced builders

I was wondering if anyone would produce a monster of this size in my scale..I didn’t really see it happening anytime soon to be honest..I mean who would go racing out for something this huge and expensive? Anyway, I came across this online and was determined to get one..I have 3 other railway guns to build so they will all be in a diorama together eventually.
What do you say about this monster even in this scale! I have had a look at the parts and they look top rate moldings. The photo-etch brass can’t be faulted..the instructions are very straight forward although I can see problems if you aren’t paying close attention..definately a case of dry fitting as far as possible! I don’t see this as anything other than an exhibition model to be honest..the amount of handrails and delicate parts would soon be ruined if this was man handled. Not a model to start out on either a good bit of experience will be needed. I’m going to take a lot of time just examining the parts and instructions before I even start building this beast! I advise anyone else to do the same!

The detail is petty good, and there’s vary little flash. But location pins don’t fit the holes. Some holes need to be reamed out. Some of the parts are hard to get to fit right. This is not a kit for the beginner. I think it’s a bit pricey for what it is. But overall in the end, it took little more work but it looks pretty good.
